Managing this complex build and refurbishment alongside clinical services was a challenge. Our design team's solution combined both horizontal and vertical extensions together with total refurbishment.
Our project programme minimised disruption and enabled continuous occupation throughout the build. The construction works were phased to allow part of the building to remain occupied. A rotation of clinical services were managed around the build, through the provision of a two storey temporary accommodation with covered links into the existing building.
